As followers of Jesus we are always looking for ways to lend a helping hand to others less fortunate.  Mission Point NB is active in helping the poor.  Here are TWO GOOD CAUSES you can support…

1 – OPERATION SHOE DRIVE…  Claudia Arias is spearheading an effort to bring shoes to an orphanage in Juarez, Mexico.   She emailed today… “Help us with our shoe drive for an orphanage in Juarez, Mexico. We are accepting monetary donations or shoe donations for the kids. New shoes are preferred since they will be given as Christmas gifts to the children on Dec 8.  If you would like to purchase and donate new shoes, please contact Claudia Arias at 915-760-9417 to find out which sizes are needed. For monetary donations, please send to Claudia at 915-760-9417 through Zelle, Cash App, Venmo or PayPal.  Thank you so much for your support this year!”

Claudia told me on the phone today that monetary donations are preferred since the time is short. Donations will be accepted until December 1. 

2 – TOWN TWIN VILLAGE…  Nikko Peterson emailed me, “I’ll take any used men’s clothing and shoes with me down to Towne Twin Village. I visit there about every six weeks to donate haircuts for the homeless.  They especially can reuse men’s items.   Coats would be wonderful too.”
